New Client Booking

Please book a New Client Consultation before booking your first full appointment. All New Client Consultations are online. This will allow us to meet each other, see if we’re the right fit, and go over policies on confidentiality and cancellations.

What happens in a consultation?

The free consultation allows us to get to know each other a little to make sure we’re the right fit. You can tell me a bit of what brings you to counselling and I can share with you how can help. It also allows us to go over some policies so that doesn’t take away from your counselling time in your first session. There is no actual counselling during a consultation, it is a time for introductions.

How do I access my online appointment?

A link will be sent to you by JaneApp (the booking system) 30-minutes prior to your appointment. If you're on your phone it will ask you to download an app, and if you're using your browser, it will tell you it prefers Chrome (but I use firefox all the time and it's fine). If you have any technical difficulties while you're trying to start up, just send me an email and we'll make sure we can get it sorted.

Do I have to put in my credit card information?

No. When you go through the intake form on JaneApp, your credit card information will be optional. If you prefer to pay by e-transfer, payment will need to be received 24 hours prior to the start of your appointment.

Your credit card will never be charged unless it is a full session and we have agreed that the credit card is the best method of payment for you. If you are a student referred through your school, then your school will be invoiced later and you don’t have to worry about payment.

What methods of payment do you accept?

I accept credit cards through the JaneApp website, and e-transfers. E-transfers will need to be received 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Can I have an in-person session without your dog?

Absolutely! At the moment he is not coming in the office, but when he does start coming to work, the last Monday of each month he will not be in the office.

Can I bring my dog to a session?

Sorry, no. Sebastian has permission to be in the office because he will be providing comfort as a working dog, and provisions are being made to ensure everyone in the office is okay with Sebastian’s presence (it’s quite the process!). Having other dogs freely coming in and out of the office is not something we are equipped or prepared for, given the nature of work we do.

Do you offer sessions online or in person?

Both! You can book online anytime, and in-person sessions are only on Mondays.
